The old Jewish cemetery in Wiesbaden Between 1747 and 1890 the deceased of the Jewish community in Wiesbaden were buried on the "old" Jewish cemetery north of the city center, on the "Kuhberg", "Schöne Aussicht". Originally, a total of 553 gravestones could be found on the area covering 4,693 m². Our documentation contains 620 photographs of all the gravestones still existing in the year 2005.
The "new" Jewish cemetery in Wiesbaden The new Jewish cemetery was used from 1891 onwards. Up to 1943, a total of 1,802 funerals took place on the cemetery, which covers an area of 5,032 m². This cemetery has been used again as a cemetery for the Jewish community of the city since 1945. All the approx. 1,000 gravestones up to approx. 1945 are included in the documentation.
The cemetery of the "Old Israelite Culture Community" This cemetery was set up in 1877 and contains 372 graves, all of which are also contained in the documentation.
